My Prayer...for You

I'm sure you wondering why I would put this on my website. It's simple. As much as I love photography and editing pictures on the computer, it's all temporary. I have something much more important to share that will last an eternity...literally. I'm curious...

If you died right now and stood before a Holy God, what would you say if He asked you why He should allow you to enter into His heavenly kingdom? Would you say that you were basically a good person or that you attended church regularly? Or maybe that you are a member of a certain religious group or church. Oh, you could say you kept the Ten Commandments! But wait, did you ever tell a lie? Even just a little, white lie?

Do you honestly believe that those answers matter? Do we even understand what the word 'holy' even means?

Holy-sacred, without blemish, unable to sin or be present in sin. I was reading an Etymology dictionary on the word holy: "that which must be preserved whole or intact; that which cannot be transgressed or violated." I thought that was the best definition of the word holy. God must stay as He is; holy and without sin; He cannot sin or even be around sin. He cannot be transgressed or violated. The same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Translation-Holy God cannot be with us. That's so devastating since He created us to have fellowship with Him.

Thankfully, God loves us so much that He provided a way that we could be with Him and have fellowship with Him for eternity. That is through the sacrifice and life-blood, the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. My prayer for you is that you will know God's saving grace given to us through His beloved Son, Jesus.

I'm a visual person, so maybe these pictures will make it a little clearer or click on presentation:

It really all comes down to what you decide. My prayer for you is that you decide for Christ and we'll spend eternity together in heaven praising and worshiping Him forever.

It is so simple that it is hard to take that step of faith. It took me nearly 20 years and I went to church every day the doors were open. A simple prayer is all it takes. Prayer is just talking to God. Repent of your sins (simply means deciding to deliberately turn away from your old way of life and sin) and ask Him to forgive you. Tell Him that you believe in Him and trust the way He provided. Ask him to come and live in your heart and life. The thing is, you have to be sincere and truly want to be saved by God and put your faith and trust in Him and Him alone.

Does this mean if you do that you'll never sin again. Unfortunately, no. I hate when I sin and disappoint my Savior, but as long as I'm alive on the earth, I will sin. One day, praise God, I won't any more, but that day is coming and one to look forward to. For now, I just strive, with God's help, to not sin.
